We are an all-volunteer group of amazing women.
Any registered Democrat in California who subscribes to DWEDC’s mission is eligible for membership in DWEDC irrespective of age, disability, economic status, gender, national origin, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
DWEDC is dedicated to helping to elect Democrats to all offices, especially electing local candidates to office in El Dorado County. DWEDC promotes social and economic policies that reflect the priorities of women. We do this by educating members and the general public on women’s issues; increasing political awareness – both within the membership and in the general public; increasing political participation of women in our community; recruiting women of all ages to become DWEDC members; and raising money for women’s issues and causes.
Democrats believe that each of us has an obligation to each other, to our neighbors and our communities. Each of us has a role to play in creating our future — and while we have made great progress as a nation, we know that our work is never done. We are an all-volunteer group.
As President Biden said at his State of the Union address, “My lifetime has taught me to embrace freedom and democracy. A future based on the core values that have defined America: honesty, decency, dignity, equality. To respect everyone. To give everyone a fair shot.”

Democratic Women:
As you may have heard, we are hosting the Kennedy-Roosevelt Dinner on Sunday, May 19th, 3:00-7:00 PM at the Cameron Park Country Club. It is time to think about what you can bake or donate, as we need some sweet donations for our Dessert Dash.
This Dessert Dash has always been an important and really fun part of the KR Dinner! We will need 20-25 desserts that feed 8 - 10 people each. We prefer home baked but will accept store-bought or bakery desserts. If you'd like to donate money instead, we can purchase a dessert for you.
We are looking forward to another successful event this year and hope to break previous fundraising records. Your support is truly appreciated!
Thank you,
Cory Anttila & Zoe McNevin
