We are an all-volunteer group of amazing women.
Any registered Democrat in California who subscribes to DWEDC’s mission is eligible for membership in DWEDC irrespective of age, disability, economic status, gender, national origin, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
DWEDC is dedicated to helping to elect Democrats to all offices, especially electing local candidates to office in El Dorado County. DWEDC promotes social and economic policies that reflect the priorities of women. We do this by educating members and the general public on women’s issues; increasing political awareness – both within the membership and in the general public; increasing political participation of women in our community; recruiting women of all ages to become DWEDC members; and raising money for women’s issues and causes.
Democrats believe that each of us has an obligation to each other, to our neighbors and our communities. Each of us has a role to play in creating our future — and while we have made great progress as a nation, we know that our work is never done. We are an all-volunteer group.
As President Biden said at his State of the Union address, “My lifetime has taught me to embrace freedom and democracy. A future based on the core values that have defined America: honesty, decency, dignity, equality. To respect everyone. To give everyone a fair shot.”

There is a push to get Nevada to vote for the Harris/Walz ticket. It's going to be so close in those states that we need to push our volunteers to help there. Many people who want to volunteer - want to do that, so now you have this information to share.
The good news is we can share this information. Many ask about going to Reno to help sway voters, and the same is happening for Las Vegas and Phoenix.
The vote is so close that now is the time to show them that we want them to vote for our ticket. So, if people want to really help and don't want to work on our local campaign, throw this information to them.
From the Northern California area, the Harris/Walz campaign, along with CADEM, is putting together buses that will leave from Sacramento (or Oakland) to take volunteers on a joy ride to Reno. People will get swag and group instructions for the party bus. They will leave at 7:00 a.m. from the CADEM headquarters in Sacramento and go to Reno (rooms and food will be provided, but no massages or pedicures). Return will be Sunday night by 8:00 pm. There will be two shifts each day. You will be with friends and new friends.
Also, more Harris/Walz signs will be at the CADEM (Sacramento site) for waving visibility, etc.
The same is happening in Southern California—but from LA or San Diego to Las Vegas or Phoenix. The Phoenix "tour" will be a two-nighter, returning on the third day.
This will be happening each weekend until Election Day.
